Why no dragon counter?

So, upon browsing through my "general stats" to see how many of what i've killed, why is dragons, the one "ultimate foe" in this game not listed? I'd LOVE to know how many dragons i've killed on my character.

You can see how many souls you have, but after spending them on shouts, it becomes a chore to go back and count them. Plus, some shouts come "learned" from Greybeards and the like, so the count becomes even more complex. Just seems like overall a strange oversight. It's certainly a minor complaint though.

Go in the magic section. It says how many dragon souls you collected including spent ones. The only soul that you can get without killing a dragon is the one from Jurgen windcallers shrine. The rest you had to kill. Learning the understanding doesnt count. I apparently killed 40 dragons on this playthrough and have 41 souls.
