Why is every OS awful?

Post » Sat Jan 19, 2013 4:54 pm

I simply cannot find an OS that I like. Linux is fast, secure and highly customisable, but lacks software support to the point that it is almost unusable for anything more than simply web-browsing. Whilst Mac is better than Linux in terms of support, I refuse to purchase any of Apple's overpriced products. Windows has the support, yet becomes sluggish over time and most customisation relies on third-party software that eats into your system resources. I also hate the direction they have taken it with Windows 8. Am I the only one who doesn't really like any of the three OS types?

I spot a flaw in your ranting logic.

What is said flaw? Also, I never said there was any logic to this. I am just asking if I am the only person who doesn't particularly like any OS.

You say nothing bad about Mac OS, but rather Apple being overpriced.

Seems, to you, Mac OS is fine, but you're too stingy or other such feeling toward Apple to use it.

VMS is a nice operating system. Shame it's about 15 years since it was last marketed, though...
