I don't mind there being gay characters, but it was odd that all of the companions outside the smith were. Especially more so my favourite male member. He used to tell tales of his drinking exploits and desire to go to the Meadery. Now he just tells me he'd marry me twice.

So is it like FO:NV where all the companions are forceful in their sixuality or is it because you are wearing this amulet? Hope it's the latter, I'd rather keep politics out of my game.

No, Bethesda just made it so NPCs don't check your gender when you marry them. There's nothing special they did. Something less to program in.

1) This is not about politics.
2) Fallout new Vegas was the most subtle and out-of-youre face handling of the situation I have ever seen in a game.
3) Take off amulet of Mara, problem solved.

You dont ever once have to encounter such dialogue, its your own fault if you do.
