Yeah, I don't understand why Bethesda is so obsessed with the idea that there has to be all these commonly-recurring events that ensure that there will pretty much ALWAYS will be tons of unavoidable collateral damage at some point in your game. These types of events effectively punish you for playing the game, as these events tend to do annoying things like kill irreplaceable merchant and quest-giving NPCs, generally leaving the player with no choice in the matter but watch everybody die in the background while you try and fight the enemies, of whom in these types of events rarely ever focus on the player until all nearby NPCs are dead. These vampire attack events sound worse than the dragon attacks, as they can go indoors, too, and it seems as if they are practically guaranteed to kill somebody, meaning if you play the game long enough, you'll likely reach a point in which there are no non-essential or respawning NPCs left in any of the towns, which anyone could see as a major problem.
Also, may I ask why exactly vampires are invading the cities and massacring
everybody? I mean, it sounds pretty counterproductive for vampires to exterminate their own food supply.
Three people = everybody?
Some towns in Skyrim are
very small.
