why paying the horse carriage when you can quick travel?

Maybe I am missing something, but if you can quick travel any where, why paying 50 bucks a dude for renting his horse carriage?Do you get some experience or anything?
Also, does sleeping affects any way the character?

He can take you to the town without having been there first. You can't quick travel to a town unless you have been there at least once.

Some folks prefer the old morrowind style of travel and dislike insta-travel. Al;so its a good way to get to cities that you haven't been to yet for the first time. As far as sleep, it gives a buff for 8 hours that makes you gain skills faster.

I imagine as a more lore friendly alternative. Sleeping as I've noticed no longer has any effect asides from being well rested(just a message) and immersive.

It's mainly for getting there the first time without traveling by foot. You pay a convenience fee to unlock the fast travel.

Sleeping in a bed makes you "well rested" for a few hours, making you level up skills 10% faster.

Some people don't like instant travel, they like pretending with their imaginations when they play a video game as well as getting pretend rewards for doing pretend work.

The rested bonus makes your skills level up faster for 8 game hours. I think its 10% normally and 15% if you sleep with your wife?
