Why no sandbox editor in PS3?

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 6:01 pm

Don't you think that Crysis 2 should have sandbox editor in PS3, if it did the game would be much more fun in the PS3.Even Farcry have the sandbox editor in 360 and PS3.

I always thought that was a computer thing.
If it is possible I dont see why not but I dont think consoles can really handle that kind of stuff.

I never played crysis 1 but i have watched vids of the sandbox editor stuff. For the ps3 though it wont work becuase of how much it can probably handle it wouldve been nice.

The sandbox Editor is a Memory hog and requires alot more input than a controler can provide. It does 3d modeling, textures, etc......now a pc version that makes maps you could download?.....that's possible I suppose.

maybe they will release the sandbox editor as a seperate download DLC, and all maps created can be uploaded to a server that you can acces through Crysis 2? then all it has to is load the map.

Forgetting the memory/processing issues, can you imagine the additional problems this game might have had if there were some sort of map editor!!!
