Why the next big DLC should be an Arena based one

With both Dawnguard and Hearthfire out a lot of us are pondering and wondering where is Beth going to go next with DLC. A lot of people want us to go to High Rock, Morrowind, Solsteim, back to Cyrodill, give us Spears, etc. My belief is that the next DLC should be an arena based one. It doesn't have to be exactly like Oblivion's, you can go a certain number of directions with it, hold tournaments, capture, collect eggs and fight monsters and do a whole bunch of other things such as introducing new enemies, weapons, armor, etc.

Now your probably wondering well why can't we just get another DLC that's similar to Dawnguard but not Vampire related. My reasoning, we already have plenty of that content in Skyrim, there's no arena in Skyrim as the Pit got cut. This in my opinion is why the next or at least one of the DLC's should be an arena based related one. I'm not asking us to warp to the Imperial City and fight there. You could have the arena go across the border to Morrowind or have it be in the mountians North of Markarth.

On that list of cut NPC's is a section that talks about an arena in Windhelm called the Pit which I talked about in the previous paragraph. Now that never made it into the game because I'm guessing time restraints and the fact that it was probably below average were probably the main reasons why. A DLC based on an Arena type where your fighting as a combatant and doing other things as well would be an interesting and great idea. It's something that's missing from Skyrim that Oblivion had and the way that Skyrim is from an atmosphere point of view an arena would feel right at home in the land of the Nords. There's a lot that can be done from a story point of view with this. Dawnguard while I have my disagreements on some things is a step in the right direction from what Main game Skyrim offered with it's main quest. I feel that an Arena based DLC would be a great addition to Skyrim.

I agree, maybe take it further than oblivion and be able to have a companion join you in the arena, perhaps develop your own team? If skyrim had a renown/reputation system they could do so much with an arena

There is, of course, the fact that a lot of Arena stuff is already present in the game, but hidden.
