Why no Vampire followers? : V

Minor spoilers I guess.I felt a bit shafted as a vampire player from lack of followers when the dawguard get humanoid and troll followers I wont acknowledge the huskies because we get hounds.But I would really love Vingalmo or someone to adventure with me.Anyone else disappointed in the lack of vamp companions?

You get Serana, one of the most powerful vampire NPC's in the game.

Vampires get the Vampire Lord Power, so in a way, it's more than enough to compensate.

I think you can get the Trolls and the Huskies even while on the Vampires side. You need to

use a powerfull Calm spell In the Dawnguard castle, then I believe all the Vendors will let you buy and sell to them, and I also think that you can buy an Armoured Troll and Huskies.
I'm not 100% on this, but I don't see why not.

Well one of the best followers in the game is a vampire and if your spouse is a companion they can become a vampire.

The way Bethesda made it sound was that the gargoyle sort of made up for the trolls, but I get the human(oid) companion problem.

I think you can get the Trolls and the Huskies even while on the Vampires side. You need to

I made up for the lack of vampire followers by keeping two vampire dead thralls with me at all times. If you are playing as an 'evil' character there is always the summonses that can be learned from the soul cairn which wouldnt make much sense if a good dawnguard character used them.

I made my own Vampire companion with the Creation Kit :tongue:

He's a Nord Blackguard. His major skills are: 100 Two-Handed, 100 Heavy Armor, 100 Block, 75 Conjuration, 75 Destruction. He knows all the Frost based Destruction spells up to Expert level, all the Reanimate spells (Minus Dead Thrall), as well as Conjure Boneman and Conjure Wrathman. He can use the Frost Breath, Ice Form, Dismay, Marked for Death, Drain Vitality and Soul Tear shouts.
He wields a Daedric Greatsword dual enchanted with Absorb Health 30/Soul Trap 10 secs. He also currently wears a Daedric Set, but i'm trying to make a set of armor that looks like the one that the Vampire at 0:38 of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K01JFZqpQlw wears, minus the glowing green.
