Wide screen makes my character short & fat

Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 4:53 pm

I was given a (sort of) new wide screen monitor and I'm starting to think that my old monitor was much better. Is there a way to correct the settings so that my Skyrim character, who use to be tall and lean, is now short and fat with hips a mile wide. Any help you can give would be appreciate, thank you. :foodndrink:

You need to change the resolution in the Skyrim launcher, under options. What is the resolution of your new monitor?

The correct resolution should be under 'resolutions', but maybe you'll have to change the aspect ratio first if your new monitor is widescreen but the old one wasn't.

Then set the game's resolution to the same resolution that your monitor is.

I'm not sure how to find the information you ask for, "What is the resolution of your new monitor?" I don't know where to look for it?

I can tell you this that my old monitor was not a widescreen. Where would I change the aspect ratio and what would I change it to? I'm sorry if this is such noob questions I'm technically handicap :blush2:

Skyrim launcher, options, set the aspect ratio to 16:9 and select the screen resolution you require.

screen res for 16:9 would be something like 1920x1080
screen res for 16:10 1680x1050
