Wife's clothing and items.

Has anyone found a way to change your wife's clothing ON THE XBOX 360? I'd really like to marry Sylgia but I can't stand those ridiculous raggedy clothes and what's worse is how she carries around that stupid pickaxe all the time. Again, I know you can change what she wears and remove the pickaxe on the PC using console commands, but I'm looking for a solution on the Xbox 360.

Pickpocket them off I guess, that's the only way I know of on Xbox.

I've read that pickpocketing doesn't work for this.

Well it works to remove what she has on but not to give them new clothing.

Yeah, that svcks. I wish they would put this "mod" in their update too. It was kind of in the Game Jam video.

I believe pickpocketing her gear wiorks provided you leave 1 article of clothing equipped.ie her boots.I know it worked with Mjoll when I married her on an older playthrough on the 360.I have a lousy pickpocket skill on my current character though (who is married to Sylgja) so I haven't been able to test it...I find it disheartening that my character has nearly two million septims and my wife still likes wearing her mining outfit.Hoping they'll implement something in a future patch as I have a bunch of outfits for Sylgja to wear.

Gotta love the Sylgja's Fan Club, She is by far one of the best choices for wife in Skyrim.

Spoiler

(Mmmm, just thinking about her rough miners
hands...)

The GameJam video had a feature where you could select "favourites" for your followers. Bethesda seems to be giving a lot of things from that video, so hopefully something as easy to implement as favourites for your wife/husband/follower will be released.

I sure hope so.

i married that stupid girl and i was able to get rid of her pickaxe by pick pocketing and got her to equip a sword by getting into a fist fight with her. She'll run and equip a weapon you have lieing around then you run outside and she resets and is peaceful again. Anyway, her dirty mining clothes pisses me off. Also, in our house in solitude she sleeps on that clothe on the ground in a storage room in the basemant. I think of her as a mindless scrub cause shes dirty and wants to sleep on the ground. I wish i married that lion girl from riften. Shes cute and has a lot more to say but shes also a tough ass girl, a little bit of a turn of when i know shes tougher than i would be lol.

On the PS3 I married Lydia and she immediately let me buy her Steel Armour, so she would then equip and wear whatever I gave her. But she does reset and get all her Armour back sometimes. And I can never get her Hunting Bow off her, (even though she will use the Ebony Bow I give her). She also is now unable to take anything I want her to carry...I have to drop it and tell her to pick it up. These are my two biggest gripes about the game.

Careful if you marry her. She has her 'friend' Aerin following her in your house. I moved into Mjoll's house, killed Aerin, then moved back to my own home.
