Wii 2 announced, Windows 8 Info

Post » Fri Apr 02, 2010 7:55 pm

Two days ago, the Japanese gaming giant Nintendo released information to the press about a console codenamed: Project Cafe. Nintendo says it is trying to reclaim the hardcoe gaming market, with graphics on this console overreaching the PS3. The controllers are dual anolog sticks, with buttons closely resembling the Nintendo Game Cube. The one major difference between the 'Wii 2' controller and the Game Cube controller? There is a six inch HD touch-screen. This touch screen will make each Wii 2 controller like a mini DSI XL, and each controller can download games from the Wii 2 console, whether from a Wii Shop channel, or just porting the Wii 2's games on, and then be used as a separate handheld. The Wii 2 will be revealed to the public at this year's E3 in June. Microsoft, a major software company, is planning to release its new edition of Windows. This edition will be packed with all kinds of micro-goodness, such as advanced task manager, face recognition start up, and immediate boot up (starting your pc from a shutdown will take <15 seconds). Just another little tech news fact NO JOKE, the military plans to be distributing MPCD's (Military Personnel Cloaking Devices) within just 18 months! Just add a Nanosuit, and Crysis 2 technology may come 10 years sooner than we thought!
(note: i will post another topic on the release of Xbox 4 and PlayStation 4)
You can Google most of the topics for more information.

Yep, and then Sony/M$ will just make the Wii look like last years technology....AGAIN

Nintendo need to get their head out of the gutter and realise that NO HDMI support and graphics that are worse than the GameCube are simply unnacceptable. Woo you got a fancy controller, but whats the point when the game you're playing looks like dogs breakfast thrown up twice.

Wasn't the wii actually a best selling console (by a huge amount) at one point? It might look like a dogs breakfast to average console kiddies or hardcoe gamers but non-gamers loved it. My auntie has even got a wii and she's almost 60, it's turned computer consoles from just a toy kids, people with ADHD and the jobless play with to an entertainment and exercise system for all.

Hopefully that console will become the majority segment for gaming and will stop the stoneage Xbawks from holding back gaming progression.

You sound like xbox360 and PS3 are considered the diamonds of technology when it comes to HD gaming. Those got outdated at day 1 as welll when compared to PC tech.

Have a look at crysis, a real PC exclusive game back at 2007 that no console game to date (or even pc game since all games are ports on PC) is prettier than that.

When i play on my Wii i do because i like the innovation Nintendo brought with the new controller which Sony copied last year and don't look much about the graphics and enjoy the gameplay instead. If i want to play a game with nice HD visuals on 1080p i use my gaming PC which is 100x times better than any console out there.

the next Xbox wont hit the streets till 2015 so I'm guessing Sony isn't eager as well to release the next gen PlayStation. A very good move from Nintendo if they really get it out in 2012.

As far as I have read the Wii 2/Nintendo HD will be better than the Xbox360 and PS3 including a higher support of shader model (4.0+)
- Xbox 360 - Shader Model 3.0+ / Unified Shader Architecture
- PS3 - Shader Model 3.0 / Discrete Shader Architecture

So GFX wise and console wise if Nintendo does release it next year it will be "the" best console on the market. But then again we will have to wait and see what the E3 brings this year.

The guy mentions personal cloaking devices and you guys talk about how the Wii has no HD? What is wrong with the lot of you?

Personally, I'm still stunned at the marvel that is active noise reduction. I gotta go look up just what kind of bull **** this is.

Edit: After a quick look, I attest that it is poppycock technology that is many, many years away and it wouldn't be a device( the d in mpcd) but a material. Too bad, so sad.
