Wild Wasteland Encounters : Fallout: New Vegas

Since this is going to be the more "zany" DLC what do you think the wild wasteland enconuters will be? Probably wont happen but a thought just occured to me. As you are exploring the various lbs at Big MT you walk into a research lab and the wild wasteland music starts to play, looking on the wall you see blueprints and schematicas with the title "Project Nevada". How cool would that be? We've already seen that they would put user ideas into a game. What other references do you think will be in there?

ps: if Project Nevada is copyrighted i plead ignorance for I am just a console gamer.

There is a character who comes to greet you when you get to the Dead horse encampment called "Two Bears High Fiving". ths is a reference to the mod from the new vegas nexus that gives the last of doc mitchels ink blots an option of two bears high fiving.

Yeah that idea came off Youtube playthoughs also I thought the last Ink Blob was Two Ninjas High fiveing.

Given the setting, I'm hoping for references to at least one of: Star Trek, Hammer Horror films, Ed Wood or the X-Files. If I had to pick one, a reference to Plan 9 From Outer Space would be perfect :biggrin:

Perhaps the scientists or whomever taking your brain is a reference to the original star trek series. In one episode a bunch of chicks from a planet stunned the crew and stole Spocks brain.

Occurrence: If you frame Heck Gunderson during the Beyond the Beef side quest you may hear the arresting Securitron say: "Dead or alive, you're coming with me" and "Your move creep". Players may also over hear the Securitons saying this instead of their usual banter on the Strip.

This is a reference to the 1987 film RoboCop, when he confronts a criminal.

That or Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Robocop, Flash Gordon, or some of the other plethera of space age sci-fi movies I'm forgetting.

EDIT- Also expecting to see a few Terminator references, and possibly another Evil Dead reference if the PC is that skeleton in the trailer.

Kinda hoping the Toaster or the Sink is named Hal.

I though expect maybe one of the following for OWB wild wasteland; Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Doctor Who, Terminator, Tron, Mars Attack, Stargate or/and 2001: A Space Odyssey. If even one of those make it in I will be happy. Although generally they usually do a decent job with wild wasteland (not as much as I may like for dlcs) but this one has potential for a lot.

I agree, there is so much potential and the amount of references can be made must be astronomical.

I can see this happening, that or one of the Think Tanks says "I'LL BE BACK!" before making a shortlived exit. :rofl:
