Will I be able to max skyrim on my PC?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 3:53 am

Hi I have a PC on order with the following spec:

CPU: Intel Core i5 (i5-2500K) 3.3GHz Processor with 6MB L3 Cache (clocked to 4.5Ghz)

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 (B3) Motherboard Intel Core Socket 1155 Intel Z68 Express SATA RAID ATX Gigabit LAN (rev. 1.0)

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 1280MB PCI-E DVI-I HDMI

Memory: Kingston 8GB (2x 4gb) Memory Kit 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 240-pin DIMM with Intel XMP Support

Would I be able to run Skyrim at max settings? I already have it on PS3 so can't make my mind up whether to bother buying it again. Also if I buy a Xbox 360 controller dongle, will I be able to play it like a console (with ffb etc.). Not sure I'll be able to take to a mouse and keyboard...

Thanks for your help

I have basically the same system specs and running everything maxed with no issue. We're not exactly talking about a cutting edge engine like BF3 that is super demanding.
