Will it be considered TES VI? : Othor Games

Does Bethesda softworks consider it as TES VI, that is the next main chapter in the series, or will there be two series from now on?

Oh, and this is really a BIG, BIG surprise. I have always been rather skeptical about whether a MMO would fit TES, but I must confess I am impatient to know more.

Im not sure about an TES MMO I have played many MMO and I have never liked it at all, I like single-player TES just fine. I hope this is a one time thing to be honest.

I would assume a spinoff. Like how Redguard and Battlespire aren't full numbered titles. So it's part of the lore, but not a TES "chapter."

This is all, of course, speculation.

I seem to recall hearing it takes place during an earlier period in the timeline, so it is not likely to relate to events occurring in the 4th Era.

Of course it doesn't. In fact, Todd Howard specifically said he wants to keep TES as a single-player game. That's why his team isn't involved in making the MMO.

That was exactly my concern when I asked this question... But it seems that it doesn't... Though I'd like that someone from Beth confirms it.

True. I also hope that when another single player game comes out, i can still take TES seriously after seeing a bunch of kids running around a whimsical Tamriel. Maybe I'm being a bit too pesimistic, but TES is my favourite series of all time and i would hate to see it end.

TES6 is TES6, TESO is TESO.
TESO has just been announced, TES6 will be announced years later.

As said, BGS doesn't even work on it. Hell, even this forum is not allowed to be in the TES section but out of it... it is like the very game is not considered a proper part of the franchise.

The studio that is developing the game is an entirely different studio from the one that works on TES Single Player Games. The MMO has been in development for years separately from Skyrim while Skyrim was being developed.
