Will Cryengine 3 have any effect on C1/Warhead

So Cryengine 3 as the better perfoming one compared to Cryengine 2,
could this have any repercussions to the "old" Crysis titles?
I dint really expect Crytek to rebuild these two games by themselfs on the Cryengine 3, but maybe some modders could do it... Just like the Black Mesa Mod for Half Life 2( and maybe its not that challenging at all if C3 is compatible to the old CE2 formats?)

It would be great to see how the performance would be on CE3.

If there's no powerstruggle perhaps the modding community can make that happen. Be nice to play some mesa where you can knock down the stop signs.

It is possible that Cryengine 3 has a feature to import maps from Cryengine 2, in that way we could play the game on the new engine, but the new props and enemies should be added manually, if im right the First level of Crysis 1 appeared on a Cryengine 3 DEMO

We have seen with the Crysis island level and assets that the CryEngine 2 and CryEngine 3 has rather seemless importability. :)

So it could be possible, in a sense.
