I Will Be Filming Every Aspect of Hearthfire | 720p

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:55 am

I have a youtube channel and an HD PVR, I kind of kicked off my channel with Dawnguard but I didn't get to cover a lot due to IRL stuff. When Hearthfire comes out, I plan to do as much filming as possible and I'll upload it all w/ commentary. I like to say that my production quality is higher than your average no-name youtuber who uploads random stuff.

But anyway, if anyone wants to see day-of-release footage of Hearthfire then you're going to want to come on over to my channel. http://www.youtube.com/atroization

I also have front page videos when searching a lot of dawnguard stuff. (Armor, Spells, Shouts, etc)

I'll also be posting on the forums for whenever I make a video. Thanks if you come on over and visit, be sure to subscribe.

Isn't advertising videos and youtube channels against forum rules?

I did it for Dawnguard. I don't see why it would be against the rules, I'm showing displays of the DLC. Not like I'm making money off this or anything. :P

This is great !
The only thing I want to know it's if there are different building themes.

Haha, I don't know if it is or not. There is a rule against advertising things and creating threads to do so but I don't know if youtube falls under that rule. I'm guessing you'll be fine.

I'll check some of your videos out a little later. Do you have any on the older games like Oblivion or Fallout? I'm looking for videos with the least annoying commentary and finding that now a days is tough!

Are you planning on subtitling any of the vids?

(Most vids on the interwebs tend not to have them, rendering them useless to us deaf folk, which is why I ask.)

Im pretty sure this will be incredibly helpful to ps3/pc user's who are deciding wether to buy it in the 30 day wait...

You are on Xbox right? Cause if not you do realise you will have to wait 30 days to get it.. whilst xbox users will have already played and reveiwed the whole thing anyway :0 Im sure youll do it in a more professional way either way.. good luck :D

Haha, yup, xbox. Thought that one through. ;)

I'd never thought of that, mostly just because deaf people are the minority I suppose. I'm hesitant to include subtitles as it could ruin the aesthetic of the video if not done correctly. If I can figure out a way to do it where it looks nice (maybe just highlight points in the upper right or something in nice text), then I'll be sure to do it. If not, I'll definitely include a text in the description containing my main points/exact words for you.

I had a previous channel where I just uploaded things that I enjoyed, like Oblivion/Fallout/Random Skyrim gameplays but I'm not exactly the most entertaining person when it comes to commentary, so I stick to working on my production quality through informational videos, since that seems to be my strong suit.

I think youtube has a feature now where you can add subtitles on top of a video, so if you have the patience, you can add the subtitles to what you are saying in the video... i think something like this would be a lovely gesture to Deaf people.. but its your choice, your the one putting all the effort into it.

If you can do that --- man, you would ROCK in my book!

Just as there are many degrees of Deafness, there are many different degrees of hearing-impairment. Subtitles help everyone, especially if the speaker tends to mumble or has a heavy regional accent, or other speech issue. Think of how subtitles may help an English-speaker listening to someone with a heavy Indian accent laboring through his sentences! I'm happy Youtube offers that facility, but their "captioning" feature (transliteration or voice-to-text facility) really svcks. Speech recognition software ain't all that good, especially with all the different accents, heh.

You should go to the doctor and get that bump checked out. Don't want it turning into something nasty, like a werewolf. :P
