Its just what Crytek has said.

They have said that the minimum requirements will be lower than Crysis while improving the visuals.

But does that mean that the lows will be lower and the highs will be higher?

They said the game will look better than its predecessors but be optimized for better performance.
So the highs will probably look better
But the lows don't have to look worse. It's just supposed to perform better

Some people have been saying that a GTX 260 will be capable of 90 FPS.

They said that the game requirements will be lower, but the visuals will be better. That said, it won't be harder for PC's to play.

The engine is made on a multi-platform basis, meaning that is has to be able to be run on consoles as well as PC's.

Another thing is, its New York City. Trees svck up a lot of your GPU, but buildings, not so much

Not a chance, i think it was Camarillo who said it was optimized to suit the three platforms, but anyone with a beast of a rig, will see the best performance.

please dont ask which interview that was, as its just a plain jungle of interviews, but thats how I understand it, if your rig ran Crysis, then it will run Crysis two, completely optimized for best performance.
Well, it may not be a PC killer when it comes out, but that will be until the editor comes out, and we can find new ways to make the game look better and be more demanding, such as increasing Light Propagation Volumes.
But then it's the mod, not the game :D

Also, highest graphics are always demanding in cryteks latest games, so far at least :P

So if I get an average of abiut 35fps on Very High 1680x1050 no AA, what would that be in C2... Approximately.

Don't think it'd be the same... You'd see a big improvement, they optimized it and buildings are easier to process than trees. No, it wouldn't be the same.

Crysis 2 will run better than crysis 1 because crysis 1 had nice big open environments that really took some power to render.

Crysis 2 throws you into a cardboard box and tells you that's 'it's ok, you still have a sandbox!' while pointing at the cup of sand in the corner.

Crysis 2, despite the newer engine, is not 'prettier' than the original, it is chopped down, bastardised and buggered to all hell just to frun on the abysmal tech of the consoles.

So, no, crysis 2 will not be a pc killer.

You seem pissed at Crytek... It could be a good thing too, wouldn't you like increased performance?

I do admit that consoles are ****, developers that used to praise us such as Infinity Ward (They used to be really cool) I know how you feel, consoles should crash and burn

I would rather have an amazingly jaw dropping game like the original :) even if it runs at 25fps on a gtx480 on high and very high is just impossible it'd be worth it just to witness those moments like we did with the original crysis.

As it stands, it looks like a cookie cutter shooter to make a quick buck for crytek, not just in the graphics department either, the gameplay looks dull and oversimplified. Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but at this point in time i am pretty pissed at them.

True, but a game svcks with less than 20 FPS, optimization is really needed so it isn't a total loss for you :D

Does anyone know about the PC specs they were using in this video? The guy averaged at about 50fps so I was curious...

Black Ops- (A lie is a lie just becuase you write it down and call it history does not make it the truth.)

The point is that we don't know yet.

I hope it will be a 10/10 game, but will they have put all the time they need? I think they have, but I want to see more for what they showed is Xbox 360 game play not PC/PS3 game play so I am waiting for that.
