Will I run it?

Post » Fri Feb 26, 2010 5:29 am

Hi guys :D I was wondering if I would be able to run this game on regular high @ 1680 x 1050 with the following rig:

CPU: Intel Core i5 661 @ 3.33ghz
GPU: EVGA GTX 260 (core 216)
RAM: 4 Gigs of DDR3
OS: Windows 7 64-bit (Home Premium)

I ran the first one (on high @ same res) with 20-50fps
I currently run BC2 maxed out on 1680x 1050 with an average FPS of 60
Never dips below 25
Maxes at 105 (when staring out of map)

sooo... Would I make the cut? (please don't suggest upgrading, I have no money)

Thanks guys :)

Absolutely you can run the game. This nonsense about needing the latest and greatest to properly run the game is brought up constantly and is quite annoying IMO.

Yeah that rig will run it easily. Heck i ran it on very high and 4x AA with a gts 250 and a core2 quad 2.4ghz and 3gig of ddr2 ram at about 20 fps avg.

High with 60fps average might be a bit hard, but you should be able to get close.

Just to remind you guys, the build 661 of the i5 is a dual core (w/ hyperthreading and turbo boost) BUT it is said that it is the fastest dual core out there. I see alot of people running it with quads. I posted this to make sure that you know it's a dual and not a quad.

The Video card matters a lot more than the CPU

I just overclocked my GTX 260 and I'm actually seeing a performance boost in Crysis. By the way, is it true that Crysis 2 will have better framrates than Crysis?

I Have a Phenom IIx4 3.0ghz and 8gb of ram
I play games at 1680x1050, and I'm in doubt what videocard to buy the gtx 460 or 470 (my PSU supports it, and no ATI, I use 3D vision)
