As title.

Will we see a patch soon? Will we see a SLI working either?

I can't imagine this is not something they are working on. When they will release either is unsure. I think we have to be patient and meanwhile use the fixes that keep coming in through the community.

I don't want to start a game with glitches, I will wait for the patch before starting playing.

At least we can rely on the community to do the dev's job of providing fixes for the game, right?

I don't see how so many people are having all these glitches. Get a new computer, or a better video card. Or update to Windows 7. Get more RAM maybe? I don't know. I have played just over 5 hours without ANY problems what so ever. A slight graphic stutter, but that I can live through. I personally can't stand people who complain about a game because their computer is a piece of crap. Not saying that is the case with anyone here, but if that is the case, please think before you speak. You are giving a great game a bad look. At least let everyone know what kind of system your running. Post specs. I am guessing that has alot to do with issues people are having. Also, people have been [censored]ing alot about lack of "testing the game". Keep in mind that they had to test the new engine, which from my personal experience, is MUCH MUCH more complicated than testing the game itself. This engine will be used on several games in the future, and those will have much smoother releases. It kills me to see people neglect to acknowledge that fact. Most games run on pre-made engines that are slightly modified to fit their gaming experience. Certain games run on new engines. Remember Doom 3? At the time that engine was revolutionary, then it was used in multiple games. This will be the same thing. IMHO this release was MUCH better than the Doom 3 release. That was a nightmare. I back Bethesda and id on RAGE, and I think people should focus on making sure their system can handle the game. If your running a 3 year old video card, or a 3 year old processor, it's time to upgrade.

@Vitalsine: It should not be necessary to purchase new hard/software if one's PC meets the requirements. Since you're not having any problems, telling others as much and that they need to get new equipment isn't exactly helping them with their issues.

Not good enough, to run this game without problems you should OC to at least 8 Ghz with liquid nitrogen cooling and add 2 GTX580's. And remember thats just the minimum specs. :teehee:

My laptop has been dominating this game with only a tiny bit of pop in at times, but since I used the various tweaks there is no pop in whatsoever :)

I specifically said that to people who DO have crap computers. It was not directed towards the entire forum. In the case of sblantipodi, I dont understand how that system is having problems. One trending problem I have noticed is that people don't know how to update their video cards and/or change/force settings through their control panel. That is their own issue for not knowing what to do. Why would you buy a $500+ video card and not know how to use it in and out? From my experience AMD and nVidia combo rocks this world. I haven't had an issue with a game in months since building my new rig. Any and all issues that I have seen/heard were fixable on the client side. That's what I was really trying to get at.

Just to let you all know, this is all I am running atm...

AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition (3.7ghz dual core, overclocked to 4.2ghz)
nVidia GeForce GTX 460 (overclocked big time)
4GB of OCZ gold plated ram (own 16 gb worth but have extra in my backup machine)
Western Digital 1TB @7200RPM 3gb/s
everything is liquid cooled, as well as the cpu having its own independent cooler. at max stress i run around 35-50 celsius.

I think that is all that should matter? It runs flawless on my end. SUPER fast. Looks amazing. Again... AMD + nVidia FTW

Fair point, but I don't think they would be posting their troubles here if they knew how to fix it. :)

I feel ya bro. It just makes me furious to see people blaming it on iD and Bethesda. They're giving the game a bad look. What happens when someone comes to the forums to check out the game, and they see all these horrible remarks, by people who couldnt fix their own problem, on their end? Thats why there are consoles, for people who dont know how, nor care to know how, to run a PC properly. lol.

They main problem is with you trolling here and numerous other threads. If you have nothing valid to add that leads to helping users in correcting the issues they are having then keep your comments to yourself. My rig runs any game I've thrown at it up until now. This is not an issue with my computer or drivers. I build my own and have for almost 2 decades. If a game has this many issues with standard, existing and up to date hardware, then it is an issue with the software and not the hardware. The game runs for you, good, I'm proud of you (that was sarcasm in case it went over your head) then go play and stop taking these threads off topic with your useless comments.

This.

I have been building my own computer and upgrading it for years and aside from tweaking some games for Eyefinity I have never had an issue where it was something specific to my computer or something that wasn't fixed with a patch.

Its pretty damn pathetic of someone to come to a forum, brag about not having problems with the game and then insult people who are having issues. I'm having problems with this game like many others are, yet amazingly Dead Island, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Lord of the Rings Online are all running fine on my PC, so I guess it myse be my computer that is the problem, right? Wrong.

Agreed. If his system is running it good, then he should be playing the game not trolling on forums. Esp not on the Technical help section for PC, This seems to be an over site between ATI and ID over drivers. even updating drivers currently, adjusting settings in control centers, ect are not helping every one and since this happened since launch of the game before these forums even had more then 4 post on them people off the bat got pissed. im using a ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series, i can run every other game i have ( crysis 2, dues ex hr ect ) on max settings and be fine. now its not the best out there, ID is using new tech and trying to stream line the graphic process's in newish ways, so in no way do i expect perfection and as a pc gamer i expect setting up a new game on the Devs end ( patchs ect ) to take longer because pcs are far more variant then consoles. thats why im fine with paying 60$ for a game even tho im not paying royalties on it in the form of a sony or xobx logo, since it takes more time and effort to make a Title on pc then on a console. But that does not change the fact that Some one Royally screwed up, either at ID or ATI.

Im loving this game, and i cannot wait for it to get patched/fixed. it is good content, WELL worth the money

Prabably I was using computers when you drank milk.
In any case the SLI profile is disabled by default for rage game, so probably nvidia knows about some glitch and they haven't commented yet.

ESPECIALLY since this game looks 'cleaner' on XBOX and PS3 ... yup, you totally need a better system ::face palm::

My question is, where do we learn about the development boxes, the boxes used to provide the PROMO videos, etc. because the game looks absolutely breath-taking in all those vids.. where do we get that info, no texture popping, no bugs, no glitches.. ME WANT!

thanks for the "workaround" but the workaround isn't enough, we need a working SLI profile and we need a patch.

Did you read the last line of his post? "more to come"?

They are working on it.

It's helpful to post what happened when you tried the work arounds.

Can I just have my money back then until the game is fixed? Think of it as a good faith gesture, since I know this will be patched I will just hold on to my money until it is.

Guys wait for a fix and stop crying.

I love ID software, every time I think to John Carmack I'm not sure if he is a human or an alien, I think that his brain is heavier than his body and hey,
have I saied that I love ID software?

Recently I made too much request for a patch that I forgot to say how much I love ID :D
