Will I spread myself too thin?

I am yet to complete skyrim. I have put 20 hours each into several classes to try and find a fit I like the best - and I'm now at a point where I'm ready to have my 'real' save file. If this is the incorrect place to post this then forgive me, but I was wondering if I could get some advice on this class as I hope to go the distance with him.

Khajit - Main skills: Sneak, light armour, one handed, archery.

I will not be doing either of the 'bad guy' guilds (thieves, db). Will join companions and not stay a werewolf. Will do 'destroy dark brotherhood'.

I plan on having a versatile character capable of getting stealth kills with bows and daggers but also capable of surviving open battle.

I assume skill wise I'm looking at standard 'assassin' build with a slightly greater emphasis on perks in one-handed and archery.

Am I better dual-wielding in open combat or running a shield, considering I will use light armour?

Any advice gear wise? Particularly attaining solid weapons early game. I am concerned that I will not be able to obtain gear as good as blade of woe or shrouded gloves without the db questline, is any of that stuff loot able during destroy dark brotherhood?

Any help from one skyrim fan to another is much appreciated!

When you
Spoiler
kill Astrid, which starts the Destroy Dark Brotherhood quest,
you can take everything she has on her, which includes the blade and her whole armor.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS, http://www.imperial-library.info/sites/default/files/dogate_til_fishystick.jpg!

In one word: No.

In several words: No, you will not be stretching yourself to thin. People have been trying out way more ridiculous builds with
success, so don't worry so much about it. I'd say, that if you plan on sneaking more than charging head-on into battle, then
dual wielding will do fine. It takes down enemies surprisingly quick, so if you get the jump on them, you shouldn't have too
much of a problem.

If you're playing on adept then almost any build will do, so if you're looking for more of a challenge then
set the difficulty to expert. It's way more fun to play with a little bit of tactics instead of just knowing for certain that you can
clear out a whole dungeon with your left hand tied behind your back. :)

Good luck.
