This is my fear. The trick is not just in designing the zones correctly, or providing the motivation for ongoing open field pvp, but the real challenge is in the mechanics.
In DAoC you can stick together as a group and travel as one unit, with one person driving.
There is AoE CC, counters to CC, hard interrupts, and things like that, which make PvP as a group very intricate and skillful.
In addition, there are hard caps on stats, to keep gear from being the dominate factor in who wins.
All of these pieces of the puzzle fit together to make a cohesive RvR experience. If even one of these elements is missing from TESO, it won't be the same quality experience.
Its the game mechanics that worry me. Will they implement the necessary mechanics to allow for group-based RvR?
