Will the NordDunmerArgonians be the most popular faction due

Now, before you continue reading this - I IMPLORE you old-school ES fans to seriously consider what I'm suggesting...

OK, having said that... Here we go...

So, as a new initiate into the Elder Scroll series via Skyrim - I felt really panged that I won't be able to see my beloved province of Skyrim on my main character's race that I currently play as in single-player ES:Skyrim.

"Not to worry!" I said to myself "I can simply roll a Nord/Dunmer/Argonian and see it that way!"

But then it really got me thinking... am I the ONLY one who would probably re-roll one of those races first JUST to see my land of Skyrim and to see how different that land would be 1000 years ago?

Now, here's the gist - lets face the music, Skyrim is doing for Elder Scrolls what GTA3 did for Grand Theft Auto; It's elevating the ES series from mid-popular cult status to blown-out EVERYBODY MUST BUY category, weither you're a fan of RPGs or not.

Sales of Skyrim have WAY surpassed the previous Elder Scrolls... and that was within a MONTH!

...which also means something else, that a GREAT majority of brand-new players will have played Skyrim as their VERY FIRST ELDER SCROLLS EXPERIENCE!

My question is simple.... How will this effect ES:O's Faction Balance?

With this massive new influx of players...who's ONLY experience was Skyrim... they may simply gravitate towards their favorite familiar land zone come game-launch instead of just picking their own favorite race and exploring new lands (at least, not right away).

I remember reading a youtube comment from a disgruntled ES fan who was annoyed by all the "newbies" asking when Skyrim 2 was going to happen. While it annoys me that he would talk down to new players like that... I must also admit that he also has a point.

Not every new player is like me, who begins absorbing the lore like a fish in water - and then continues to find out about the entire history of the actual previous games themselves. Most may just pick up ES:O because "Hey! I love Skyrim, so I want to play MORE of Skyrim!".

What say you all?
