So I'm new here to the forums and loving the community! Anyways, does ESO have capes or cloaks? I really hope they do as they make a character pop. Thanks!

There is a screenshot with a character wearing a cape. I'll try to find it...

Well TES games traditionally have hang ups about capes, with the clipping and all, so I think the chances of that happening is very low.

I know that was stated some time ago, but I remember it being as more of an "at this time" kind of thing.I found the in-game screenshot. However, I'm not 100% certain that it's an officially released screenshot.

That was because of that Beth evolved Gamebryo engine. This is a completely different animal.

More an issue with capes don't look good without cloth physic.

On short its less problem get it to work but it will not look good.

Short capes will work but some outfits in Skyrim had capes who looked incredibly stupid then the tail clipped trough them, tail clipping was not an major issue for other clothes but as the cape was 15 cm behind your back the tail was moving forward and back through them.

Yes you could go for stupid short capes as in WOW, most people hide them anyway.

The cloth physics is the key. They managed it with Harkon's Vampire Lord cape, but that was it. I do remember a mod author attempting to duplicate that with the PC but something prevented him / her from releasing a full version.

Still, I understood it to be a limitation with the engine being able to implement those cloth physics properly. It's clearly done with the various banners but still... ESO is on a different setup all together.

You forgot to give him a "fishy-stick".
