Theres no reason to think that won't be occurring in Cyrodiil. Again Cyrodiil is a massive open world area.
Yes yes, which a massive warzone is cool on paper, but look at planetside 2. The average contenent in there is about 8 sq miles (estimation), while cyrodiil was what, 16? thats twice the size. That being said, when the game has nothing but pvp content, PS2, felt like a ghost town most the time, with zergs just running circles, taking and capping bases, very little teamwork/strategy outside of small squads...
What i'm saying is that the "go here to fight" scheme, might sound cool, but its not the same experience. The random encounters dont feel the same as when you run across some one. Theres no tension... You dont get that "ally showdown" effect, when you both notice each other, stare for a minute, sizing each other up, and have to decide if your gana throw down right there, or keep going. Each person is waiting, fingers on the trigger, just waiting for the other person to move first. Its intense. With designated pvp spots, you expect it, and theres none of that tension. Your there to kill them, theyre there to kill you, theres absolutely no question about it, so theres no thinking or anticipation. Its not personal.
Anyway, thats my kinda thing, and why i was so widely attracted to WoW, before they started spewing out expansions that killed it. I'm a fan of solo and small gang fights, which you dont get in huge pvp designated areas like this...
