What I'm asking is anyone know of a game or will there ever be an RPG based in japan where you play as a samaria or ninja? Open world of course you go out and explore like in skyrim doing quest and cleaning out caves and temples, I know there are some like what I just described but they are to anime like or have [censored]y turned based fighting I'm looking for one that is western style RPG like kingdom of amulur, fable, elderscrolls seires, Zelda. Those types of games, please dont say Final fantasy cause those games are nothing like what I'm asking about. just thought it would be cool to see a japanese lore RPG out there.

None that I can think of.

The problem you are encountering is that you're desiring traits specific to Western RPGs. Eastern RPGs love their linearity and turn based combat. Its virtually a different genre.

And the chances of a Western RPG company making a game based around Japanese culture are not non-existent, but as far as a the game being free roam? It is quite unlikely.

And grinding. Don't forget the grinding.
