Will there be these 'Factions'?

Post » Wed Apr 24, 2013 11:11 pm

(By 'Factions', I mean like the Fighters Guild or Mages Guild)

Will there be the Dawn Guard? Ever since there have been vampires there have been vampire hunters. So was the Dawn Guard initiative around in the ESO era, and do you think we will be able to join them to fight the forces of evil? Molag is the creator of vampires isn't he? Seems logical.

Also, the Blackwood Company, opposition to the Fighters guild during Oblivion. Im not sure if they were around in this time, but still, what do you think?

(Please, for the love of Talos, don't say "These wont be on release." I am WELL aware of that. I am thinking of the future content of ESO.)

No Talos in ESO, so who cares about the love of Talos...

'til now devs didn't say anything about these factions.
If they exist in the time period of ESO, they are most likely pure NPC factions.

By factions, you mean guilds. Yes, both the Mages' and the Fighters' guilds will be part of TESO at launch. The Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves' Guild will also be part of the game but will be included post-launch. The Companions will also be features in Skyrim as an alternative to the Fighter's Guild - there won't be one in Skyrim.

The original Dawnguard will founded at some time during the Second Era, which could swing either way because TESO takes place around the middle of the Second Era, however it is known through Skyrim's lore that both iterations of the Dawnguard aren't the same thing, ergo the Dawnguard of the Second Era probably won't be like it's Fourth Era counterpart.

As for the Blackwood company, that was founded during the late Third Era (Oblivion) and won't be part of TESO.
