What criticism? You mean all the crap from these boards? Or are you talking about something else?

Why don't you provide your own views? I never understand the point of threads like this. Throwing something out for others but not providing your own thoughts.

I thought Dawnguard was great. Except for breaking Breezehome's alchemy lab, I was (and am) quite content with the DLC. So I hope they used the success and positive feedback of that DLC to guide them along on Dragonborn.

So long as the people offering criticism can accept that many people thought the DLC was good/well worth the money.

the problem is those that think whatever is good refuse to stand in other people's shoes and believe it is bad.

i mean the obvious things, like how small and bleak and boring the soul cairn was, of course that is my opinion, and many others, its quite a popular view it seems, but bethesda would probably take peoples opinions into consideration.

i never understood the position of the internet contrarian, do you have to have all of my input right away? maybe i want to see someone else comment before i do. i made the thread, just use it, don't complain.

That's about the stupidest criticism of differing opinions I've ever heard. Good and bad are subjective opinions. You're not asking someone else to see your point of view-you're asking them to abandon yours and agree with you because you say so -_-

As much as I like Dawnguard as a DLC, I do agree with you on the Soul Cairn. I can't stand that place, its very much a get in, do what I need to do and get out place for me.

why thank you Lord Stannis
i wont argue about the money, it was fairly priced i thought. i still thought it was worthy of criticism, to improve upon the game in the future encourage bethesda to be a bit more ambitious you know.

i didn ask anyone to believe what i believe.
you dont even know what i believe.

that aside, those people who think dg is bad, it simply means dg is bad,
those people who think dg is good, it simply means dg is good.

the irony is, those who think dg is bad, never go around trying to convince those who think otherwise.
however, those who think it is good, trys so hard to convince those who think otherwise. mind you, those who did, bash mercilessly.

Sorry, I wasn't suggesting it wasn't worthy of criticism per-say, rather just people like Novadove aren't the ones that Bethesda should be listening to IMO.

No, I think they plan these things out before hand. The direction is usually smaller DLC -> bigger DLC.

dawnguard is bigger than hearthfire with dragonborn bigger than both. they dont plan dlc stuff.
also, if they do plan dlc stuff, ps3 wont get into today's situation.

The problem isn't that people won't acknowledge Dawnguard had faults, it's just the way you worded it. It comes off as Dawnguard was nothing but critizisms, be that your opinion or not. That's just how it reads.

of course they plan, they probably just keep their plans flexible. they probably have a general outline of things they absolutely want finished by the time they are ready to move on to their next game. and as for the game jam, that was for the employees to have a bit of personal input in the game, not for the goals of post release content. everyone seems so sure that the gamejam means that bethesda is just throwing darts at a wall :teehee:
[i know nobody mentioned gamejam, just wanted to throw that out there]

dawnguard is my person favourite out of the only two choices.
however, to me i feel it is bad because of the execution.

from the dg's choice path, harkon is a let down. soul cairn is bland and i feel, the most boring place of the whole skyrim except the visual is refreshing.
only serana is really good and lovable because she is believable. other than that, the storyline is normal.

that's my PERSONAL opinion

ok, i said criticism, now for some positive.

I LOVED serana, if all npc's were as complex as her it would be epic.
i loved the lore for the falmer. we now have a much better understanding of who they were in the merenthic and first era.

Of course they plan DLC stuff. Not everything is planned beforehand, but the general gist or direction is predetermined.

I like how Dawnguard is, and for we know, this DLC adds a new "big" land, so I think Bethesda is doing GREAT with the way they′re taking the DLC′s.
