If I come across one, I will enter it. That's the way I generally play these types of games - if it is on my path at the time, I'll definitely hit up the location and check out the dungeon/cave/whatever. Definitely my favorite part of TES/FO games from gamesas.

If I enter a dungeon I'll clear it, if I'm able. I'm not going to go around 'level locking' dungeons to make the game easier.

Surely though, that doing so will make them boring when you are higher level? Best to keep some challenging for later, at least in my opinion. Also, is loot not also tied to this level lock?

I don't see why not. I mean, I came across many dungeons in Oblivion on my travels to a main quest. It added in for the fun. I think dungeons are going to add up to about 100+ hours of gameplay alone considering the dungeons are complete re-done and even in the interviews they said some dungeons might take hours to complete/discover.

Sometimes the main quest is boring.

While I won't wander around specifically level locking dungeons, I will wander into dungeons and try to clear/beat them as I go along.

If the leveling system is more like Fallout, some areas will just be too tough to full clear early on. Hopefully it's more like Fallout and Morrowind where you needed to make sure you had Stimpacks/Potions in order to be safe

After some initial farting around, my plan is to travel all of the marked roads and visit the towns; but if a dungeon icon pops up on the compass while I'm traveling on a road, I'll explore it.

What do you mean by this? I have never heard of level locking a dungeon. Do you mean if we go into a dungeon low lvl (say lvl 4) and cannot complete it then that dungeon stays at lvl 4 for the entire game?

Not specifically level 4. But the dungeon will stay locked at a low-level range for the rest of the game.

Yes, the enemies do for certain. I'm not sure if the loot will be locked at that certain level, but we'll find out soon.

There is a possibility that I MIGHT enter a dungeon or two at an early level, but only if I hear that dungeon is extremely difficult.

Thanks for the info. I thought I had been following closely but I missed that knowledge. That is horrible! I used to love just wandering into dungeons in Oblivion. Guess I have to be more strategic about when I go into them now.

I'll enter my first dungeon only if a quest leads me to it.

No.

I'll enter dungeons when I have a reason to - i.e, when a quest sends me there, or when I want to explore.

More info - the dungeons have level ranges. So if you enter a "high level" dungeon at low level, it'll get locked at the bottom end of it's range. But it'll still be "high level" compared to you. (i.e, a lv40-45 dungeon will lock at 40, if you enter it at lv5.)

At least that's the way it was described previously.

That's what I'll do too. I'm all for exploring, but I don't want to end up overleveled by the time I get round to doing any quests.

I'll propably clear some dungeon near the start area of the game to get some skills and loot. I'll definetly skip the bleak barrow one, it's been spoiled already pretty much as a whole. The radiant story makes the random dungeons more meaninful because you'll never no in which dungeon the quest might send you. This means you don't necessarily have to go to any dungeon voluntarily if you want to seem them all.

Does anyone know if there will be any indication of the level ranges before you go in? So you do not accidentally lvl lock.

It sounds kind of dumb but if I do not want to lvl lock and there is nothing like that in game then I have to traverse the interwebs to find out the lvl range of the dungeon and of course at the same time totally spoil what is inside.
