Will you join every group that can be joined?

If there were 7 joinable guilds and factions and you could join all 7 of them would you or would you only join some on your first and leave others for a second or third run?

Nope, I will be joining only those that make sense for my character to join. I won't be joining the Thieves' Guild or Dark Brotherhood.

Your not going to do them at all? Not even with stealth pcs?

Nope, going to limit myself to one guild per character. First character will be a pure Mage, making it kind of obvious which guild she will be joining :)

Usually no, although after 3 or 4 playthroughs I try to build the 'ultimate character' with no respect for lore and role but just to see how far I can stretch the ruleset, exploit the loopholes and complete every single quest in the game.

I do like to save a bit for future playthroughs. My magic-user will stick to the Mage Guild, and my warrior will stick with the Companions, for example. In Oblivion, I had a stealth character for the Thieves Guild who was good at heart, and a separate "evil" character for the DB... But for Skyrim, my stealth character is going to be in both the DB and the TG. I think.

Due to RPing it is unlikely I will join more than two in a single playthough. I have no problem with this since the replay value is great in these games.

On a single playthrough? God No.

I plan to make this game last until at LEAST the 1st Expansion, and playing 3 different files with 3 completely different Characters using 3 completely different battletactic and Perks and doing at the most, 2 Guilds will last me far longer then just one character.

Even though I'm probably going to be relying mostly on my magical abilities, the Companions intrigues me for really obvious reasons. I just hope the College Of Winterhold is as interesting.

It will depend on my character, obviously if my character is good... he won't join a bad guild like the Dark Brotherhood.

For my first character, yes,
Then I'll make my roleplaying character to which he will join the College and Stormcloaks.
I'll see what other minor ones there are as well.

Not on one character, no. I'll only join roleplay appropriate factions.

For my main, that is the Mage's and possibly Dark Brotherhood

I don't think I will join [or at least not advance very far] in the Thieves Guild or The Dark Brotherhood.

That would be better suited for a different character considering I try to not break the law.

Only the ones that fit my role play. My Oblivion character was with the DB and mages guild. Not sure what sort of character I will have in Skyrim-my have to make multiple characters to experience the whole game while remaining true to my role play.

I will join however many that would make sense for my current character. I generally don't have a character that is a healer then join the dark brotherhood but sometimes I do have characters that last so long they have phases of life where fate happens and changes their original direction.

I will be doing them with stealth characters, just not my first character. (Which I expect to be playing for quite a long time; I don't create many characters since I like to "complete" a character before moving on to the next)
