Will you be go to the midnight release?

Post » Sun Aug 16, 2009 5:00 pm

Having it come out on Friday completely changes the game for me. I will definitely go to the midnight release and skip everything Friday and play through the weekend. :D

How about you guys?!

EDIT: Dang, I messed up the topic name ha.

No I'm probably going to pre-order it. A much easier decision.

It'll still be the same game on the shelf the next day, and there isn't even a guarantee of a midnight release. Also, assuming in the first place I preorder it, what if I preorder it online? Where I preorder is completely determined by whoever has the best deal on the preorder (for example, the last time I preordered something, it was 2 weeks before the game reelase because Best Buy was giving people who preordered it a $20 gift card + $10 rewards zone certificate).

Nope because I live 2.5hrs from the nearest major city and I doubt they'd do it anyway.

I won't have class on Fridays then so I'll most definitely be pre-ordering and picking it up at the midnight release.

I hope to pre-order it on Steam (and it could theoretically be released at midnight to steam users, but maybe not), but something tells me that doesn't count as a poll option.

Going to pre-order it and pick it up at the midnight release, without a doubt (if possible). This is the only game in years I'd be even willing to consider doing either for, though it probably won't happen since I doubt you'll be able to pre-order the PC version anywhere but Steam.

I like playing a video game that I'm super stocked for starting at like noon or so on a day that I have totally free. That way I can really enjoy it and I don't mess up my sleep schedule staying up til 4 am lol.

Don't understand midnight releases...Especially when they put them during the busiest time of the year; exams/finals and all :unsure2:

Probably not. However, this is the only game I would consider doing it for - except for Elder Scrolls VI, VII, etc. :P

Midnight releases can be fun, but I don't think I'll be going to a midnight release. Who knows, through; I have almost a year to decide.

Some game stores offer deals like "Pre-Order it and get it the day it comes out in the mail."

I'd go for that one.
