I won'tbe using it until I find out what an even whacvkier version of Fallpt involves. Being held up by Yosemite Sam and Marvin the Martian... together?

I wouldn't. If I use it the first time it will just feel like I am having less content every time I don't use it. If I don't use it at first and only use it later, it will be like having extra content.

I'll use it on my.. well, after I've done 4 serious playthroughs, I might switch it on just to spice things up. But no, I don't want Indiana Jones in a fridge, totally break immersion for me.

Not on the first playthrough; I want to have a serious (err, as serious as Fallout can be, anyways) baseline to compare the hilarity to.

I'm sure I'll end up looking up what it does on The Vault anyways, though.

Not sure. I haven't heard about it until now. As I have yet to play either Fallout 1 or 2, it may just be needlessly confusing for me. Definitely not for my first playthrough, possibly my second.

no, it has nothing to do with Fallout 1 or 2 (aside from being the same humour). It's more about bringing in pop and cultural references, adding comedy and silly/strange things that wouldn't be in the vanilla (serious) game. People complained FO3 was too straight, too gritty, that they missed the humour in FO2, so the devs brought it back.

From the wiki, "In an interview with Chris Avellone, he notes that the Wild Wasteland trait may add more references to older content in Fallout and Fallout 2, in regards to special encounters."

Still, I get what your point is. I may give it a go.

I plan to look into making a mod that adds the trait as an extra 3rd by default; or (preferably) just enables it automatically in every new game and simply removes any reference to it as ever being a trait at all.

I'll probably pick it up for my first playthrough, although until I see the full trait list I can't say for sure mainly depending on how many of the traits tickle my fancy so to speak.

I didn't play FO1 or 2 but i think that a bit of humor would allow the game to be more real....

Allow me to explain:
After the bombs had drop it would have been VERY serious but now that life has gotten into a routine of post bombing I think it would freshen the game up

If it means meeting my belowed Knights on their crusade for the holy grail, then definately.

If it doesn't, then probably yes anyway.

I wouldn't mind the silliness if it's added in the right place and not randomly when it's not needed.I skipped through every dialog in FO3 and Oblivion.I might do the same in NV but I'll try to actually to read it.The special encounters interests me the most.

Yes, because I might go to a place in the 1st playthrough that I wouldn't in the second.

I might do, Im pretty sure I will know about alot of the encounters before I get the game because of the 3 day gap between America and England.

Tough call....personaly I would have prefer it was a toggle in the game options or at a new game like hardcoe mode because I don't like the idea of having to spend a perk on it when I might have to miss out on another perk that I want to make my characters gameplay different.

I think I might skip it on the first play through and see what the world is like, then on my second play through I will choose it and see what I missed first time...as opposed to the other way around which would feel a bit more dissapointing.

First playthrough , because I'm very thourough and want to experience everything at a large scale . And I think that's something that a Fallout must have . (That little extra something)
