Windows 7 update...

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:30 pm

Killed my video card today. I had no idea what happened and it kept failing on me today. So I finally system restored it and noticed that there was a critical update today at around 5 o clock. Now everything works fine after I restored it to the point before the automatic update but I am wondering if anyone else is having issues with there AMD drivers and the new update?

Sounds like a problem I used to have... This driver in windows update
"Microsoft driver update for Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)"
When installed it would cause my video cards to fail, after rolling it back everything worked fine again. I noticed this last year and it happened to me again this year when I did a reinstall cause I forgot about that update. Pretty sad that its been a year later and still hasn't been fixed.
