I bought the property and went to the location and found the workbench and all that. When I laid out the drawings and build the small house, nothing happened. It simply didn't show up. It didn't even rope off the area like it should when you select the drawing. Has anyone else experienced this?

Once. I found loading a previous save solved this for me. In fairness, i'd saved moments before using the work bench so didn't lose much. Fingers crossed for you.

At a guess I would say you are playing on the PC, which is something you should mention when trying to get help, and it would be one of your mods causing the problem. You will have to hunt it down, then you will possibly have to load a save game and start building the house again. There are loads of threads on the topic in the http://www.gamesas.com/forum/211-pc-hardware-and-software-support/ forum if you need some clues as to which mod.

If you are playing on the Xbox 360, as already mentioned try again. I encountered a lot of bugs on the XBox 360 but at least all the time some part of the house turned up, most of the time all of it.
