At level 37 and with 33,000 gold, my bribe offer was 408 gold. This guy could have found 408 gold under his left boot or in his sabre snow cat pelt covered couch cushions if he wanted, but he gladly accepted my bribe. That just isn't right.sell-sword wearing full steel plate armor (except gauntlets?) guarding a silver mine.
A few ideas to make bribing more realistic:
1. Bribes should cost more as your level increases because higher levels assumes you have more gold.
2. The bribe amount should be dynamically set so the bribe will succeed. Can't afford it? Bribe fails.
3. Bribe amount should be related to the severity of the offense. I think this is currently implemented.
4. Your Speech level should reduce the amount needed to bribe down from the level-scaled amount.
5. Bribe amount could even be influenced by WHO you're bribing. Guards > sell-swords > citizens.
Ultimately, I'm trying to criple high level players (>25, which isn't that high) who have enough money to buy everything they want. What do you think?
