I wish that after building our own houses the Jarls in charge of destroyed areas like Helgen, Winterhold and Whiterun would hire and pay us to rebuild. I know this will never happen but I would like some way for these areas to be repaired or rebuilt, it's kind of depressing.

Destroyed Area is not Whiterun. Winterhold i can see but it's not Destroyed. Just the land Around it.

No Jarls in Helgen

There was some hinting as to water-related dlc, whatever that means. Probably just an update with water combat.

I meant destroyed or damaged because during the civil war Whiterun takes a lot of damage and it's pretty much my favorite city. Maybe also rebuild the destroyed houses in Winterhold and bring in new residents. Helgen is part of Falkreath hold and I really want it to be rebuilt because we only get to see it for a brief moment before Alduin destroys it.

Helgen is owned by the Jarl of Falkreath, and is planning not to rebuild it. It is depressing to see that Helgen is gone forever.

There really is only 1 or 2 Destroyed Houses in a city. I would rather just Rebuild Winterhold and do tons of stuff with Shipment's and Side to be Loyal and Send troops and stuff

The lore states that half the city of Winterhold sunk into the sea...so yeah its pretty much destroyed.

Id say Winterhold is still almost as Big as Falkreath

Yep rebuilding of Helgen/Winterhold would rock,also economics being enhanced would be awsome,like attracting business to winterhold after its rebuild by adding a port,traders smithers etc and then finding them business and opening trade routes with caravans that you will need to protect from bandit raids etc would be awsome.

yeah its the same now but the Jarl of Winterhold said it was a major city before the collapse

I think it would be amazing if we were able to buy Helgen and claim it as independent territory. General Tullius was its military governor, why can't we do the same. No Jarl, however we can find and take over any forts controlled by Bandits or any faction. But we have to maintain ownership of the forts. A Khajiit can dream can he not?

Helgen's only importance in Skyrim was not to the Nords but more to the Imperials as it was a garrison town for the Imperial legionaries. I an guessing it was built as it is close to the border with Cyrodill and it is the opposite side of Skyrim Solitude which is where the majority of the Imperial legionaries in Skyrim are garrisoned.

Other than that i can't seeing it being important to the Falkreath Jarl which why he is not jumping to restore it. My guess he'd be more inclined to improve the defences or to build up the city of Falkreath into a more impressive city. If the civil war ended and the Imperials were back in power then I guess it would be beneficial to them again due to it's location to Cyrodiil.

That is how I imagine the lore behind it.

As for Winterhold then that used to be the capital of Skyrim. Now it's Solitude. It must have been an amazing city. The Nord cities tend to centre more on the sea hence Solitude and Windhelm being the biggest. Falkreath and Riften I believe are more to do with them being on route in and out of Skyrim. I still think that the Nords would try and do something with Winterhold. Especially as it's importance to Nord history. It barely has anything there. They could do with rebuilding a dock there.

Yeah, all the damage from the civil war quest should auto-repair after 30 or 60 days in game. They aren't just going to ignore their destroyed buildings, so it is sort of lame it just persists that way. And yes, I too want to rebuild Winterhold.

Winterhold has a lot of available land around it to when you look. I like to own a stone castle home built on top of the old broken houses on the corner of the city over looking the Mages Guild as that would give good views.
There could even be an additional part of the city on the north side which is under the arch of the Mages Guild pathway.
