Wish for the Future: No Factions

From what I have seen of the factions so far in ESO, I am pretty happy with them, story wise. I think their leaders and political views are very interesting, and have a huge potential. That said, I really and genuienly wish for open factions.

What I mean by open factions is this; The Elder Scrolls has always been about freedom of choice. Why can't a Khajiit and a Nord be friends? Well really, why not. Factions are all well and good, but for those who don't really wish to pvp, its just another limitaion. I have played a lot of mmo's and this has always bothered me. It never fails that one of our friends will play a character of an opposing faction; which ends with one part of our group leveling characters on a different faction than the rest, and being forced to level a character they didn't really want to play, just to play with us (or vice versa). "Oh, it's not a big deal to make multiple characters..." No, not a big deal, but when you're playing a character you would not have made were you not forced to, simply to play with friends, it just not fun.

If the Elder Scrolls means freedom, then my Dunmer should be able to hang out with my brothers Khajiit. There are a couple mmo's without locked factions, like Age of Conan, and I feel they worked well that way. My suggestion is that factions only be forced enemies in pvp zones. That way, those who wish to, for what ever reason, can fight the other factions, and those who don't can still party up and level with their friends on which ever race they choose.

Please, allow for open factions, so we can still play our favorite race, whatever that may be, and level with our friends.
