Wolf Queen Awakened Quest won't start

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 2:28 am

Ok I finished the quest "The Man Who Cried Wolf", and traveled around skyrim, then visited a Hold city, but no courier ever brings me a message to return to solitude to start the next part, which is the wolf queen awakened. Is there some way to spawn the courier or the message, so that I can get it started???

You need to have leveled up to cause the courier to spawn. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Wolf_Queen_Awakened

It was the same for me so I returned to Solitude and there a courier gave me the message. I think you should travel there.

Or you can pickpocket the message form Falk Firebeard.

Ive been back and forth from solitutde to whiterun and other hold cities ... still nothing

Tried that too but the quest still didnt start?? Anybody got any other ideas, this is the second time Ive had to backtrack, even went to a previous save before I did the man who cried wolf quest and started it over, but wolf queen aakened quest still wont start.

Just to confirm:
  • You have gained a level since you completed Man Who Cried Wolf
  • Since you didn't get a courier spawn, you pickpocketed and read the note found on Falk
  • The Wolf Queen Awakened is not active in your quest log

Maybe you should do other quests and even level up once more. What is your actual level?

I was at level 74 when I did the Man who cried wolf and it's at level 75 that I started the Wolf Queen awakened. It took so long to reach level 75 and I did lots of quests in between.

I liked your video. You fight very well though your war axe doesn't seem very strong (at level 42). What kind of enchantment did you put on it? I like the way you use your shield. Goooood... I was a bit surprised to see that you don't use Restoration to heal yourself after you have killed your enemies and before entering in a new place. And also recharge your axe. There are no quick saves? But you are really good.. :trophy:

Sorry to deviate from the topic but if you're level 81 is there a way to fix this with console?

Yes I finished the man who cried wolf quest, then gained a lvl, entered a hold city, didnt get courier to spawn, pickpocketed the letter off Falk and still the quest did not start. And no the Wolf Queen Awakened is not active in my quest log.

As it stands Ive deleted my saved games up to before I entered Solitude, so I could put this quest on the back burner till I get it figured out as to why it wont start. Right now im doing quests in Riften, and will go back to solitude when Im done there and see if I cant get it started.

Oh and to answer your question Chimpy I was lvl 33 when I finished a man who cried wolf quest, I lvled to 34 and visited a hold city, but the courier never spawned, I went back out lvled to 35 and still nothing.
