Is it just me or are there WAY too many wolves spawning near roads? Sometimes it's so bad that riding more than 10 meters will attract a horde of wolves that come raging behind you.

To add to the Cliff Racer-effect is their annoying growling/slobbering sound that seems to be looping twice per second ("HRAWRLAFSH SLUSH GNASH HSHRSRHSRHFLSH").
I'm getting so sick of having to get off my horse every 20 meters just to kill off the pack of wolves behind me (which feels like a waste of time since they die in one hit even at lvl 10).

Just wanted to vent my frustration over this.

I'm fine with wolves. Easy one-hit kills.

I can imagine they are annoying for people who like to travel on horses though..

Nahh no way, not if they die one hit.

Cliff racers were horrid in Morrowind because at low levels you COULDN'T hit the bastards!

Get a horse?

Take the 2 seconds it takes to kill 10 wolves?

Summon something and just walk away?

I love slaughtering families of wolves, and watching my double blades swoop through them all in one power attack. Blood flies everywhere, bodies strewn about.

I totally agree with this assessment. Wolves should show up further away from the roads. And at the very least my horse should be able to trample them to death.

Fire breath.

Or on horseback just ignore them they don't follow you that far.
