Woman steals 10000$ large. And...

Spends it on Frontierville on Facebook

If you're gonna embezzle do it right. Don't spend 2000 on Frontierville every month. Me i would go to Gamestop and unload it all.

What would you do with the 10000$ dollar's?

Or you could just flush it down a toilet.

A year later.... Oh hai I would like to trade in these games I bought for $10000. Get back $220 in store credit..

I'd probably either pay off debt or remodel kitchen with soapstone countertops.

There aren't 10000$ worth of games i want at Gamestop. The rest would probably go to getting me a new identity since i stole 10000$ dollar's :P

The idea would have to be something fun. Unless you think soapstone countertops are fun.

And the woman has paid back 800$ dollar's already.

Why is there even $10,000 worth of stuff to buy in one game? No wonder companies like Zynga do so well, they scam people out of their money.

Big company raises prices, big company lays off workers.

I'd spend it on shoes. Well, okay, like others, I wouldn't nick it in the first place, but if I had a spare ten grand lying around...

Big company is stupid for raising prices and laying off workers over 10 grand instead of just taking the hit out of their owner's multi-million dollar paychecks.

Right, and therefor, I do not see you or anyone else as a "better person" for choosing not to embezzle from a big company.

And why's that?
Because what's 10 grand out of a million dollars or more a year? Certainly not worth raising prices, laying off workings, and putting your business in jeopardy for.

How would laying off a few workers put a multi-million dollar company in jeopardy?

Seems like just another valid way to pay the cost for a $10,000 bill to me.

That doesn't make sense, big companies will lay of people to compensate profits therefore not stealing from them is just as bad as embezzling? WTF!?!?!?

I'd say the company is in more jeopardy of losing investors and share holders due to them realising their money is compromised. "Sure it was $10000 this time, but what happens when it isn't a moron doing the embezzling? This is what we're trusting our money in?" Surely updating their security system is worth more than a few jobs, and companies with million dollar profits aren't going to try and keep their workers at the expense of profit.

I'm not sure that's quite what she meant, but having worked for several such companies, the "laying off" thing seems to become a core philosophy and before you know it the company's destabilised itself and goes out of business. Firing staff to save money seems to be a bit of a case of corporate auto-cannibalism and seems to seldom result in a desirable outcome.
