ED-E won't fight

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 10:03 am

Started a new game and went for ED-E right away but he behaves erratically. Doesn't want to fight, moves weird, doesn't heal....

Anyone a good head doctor for an eyebot out there?

(yes, all the settings are correct. i use range, close to me and aggressive)

My Ed-E won't stop fighting!
He attacks everything everywhere we go.
Including a humongous Radscorpion that I could barely perceive, from like a quarter-mile away...
He stirred up FIVE of the satanic things, and we died quickly and horribly.
Say, could I trade my Ed-E for your Ed-E? Heheh...
(I never touched any of his settings, or asked him to carry anything.)
But consider yourself lucky...
Regards

LOL!! Same here! My ED-E is set to "passive" and just starts attacking things willy nilly. He's gotten himself killed plenty of times. I wish there was a "retreat" or "RUNNNN!!" command you can give him. Once in combat, its to the death.

Apparently, if you have him on range he acts very finicky however when I changed him to melee he started behaving more like an attack eye bot. He does like to go crazy at times.

Neutral NPCs in cities all seem to want to fight my ED-E.

Whenever Ed-E glitches out, talking to him (i.e. selecting "talk to" from the radial menu) seems to get him back on track. Hope this will work for you also.
