I'm at work :(

I fully realise these forums don't need further cluttering with ANOTHER of these threads but I'm still going to inpose on you my own very personal oppionion of this game.

It's the only game since early World of Warcraft 6 or 7 years ago that has made me not want to go to work. I never played morrowind or oblivion so I don't know what I'm "missing", all I know is that this game is simply amazing.

Gameplay
There's SO much to do in this game iti's simply mind boggling, at times maybe a bit too much as it can get messy and bewildering. I'm doing the main quest line first and foremost (which I think is excellent so far, just talked to the dragon on the top of the mountain), and after that I'm either just simply exploring the rest of Skyrim which will take me ages, or I'll roll a melee char and have fun with that. And then a thief. Basically I'm all set for a long time ahead :) 9/10

Stability / Bugs
I have luckily yet to encounter any of the ingame quest related bugs I've been reading about, however I am experiencing a crash to desktop likee once per day. No real problem though as it only seems to occur while travelling long distances on foot. But my quicksave spamming makes short work of any trouble it might cause. Overall I'm content with stability/quality 7/10

Interface
I don't mind the interface at all (just clicked invert mouse and I'm all set). I usually have the WASD setup anyway and the consolidized inventory system is a bit weird but takes like one minute to get used to anyway so meh. And the favourites/hotkeys system is actually quite OK imo. So 6/10 here.

Graphics
I'm loving the graphics and environments, especially the snow/rain/weather effects. And yes, this game does have amazing detail. Who cares when the gfx-engine's specific technique for displaying textures was invented, it looks good :) I'm playing on a i5@3.1/12Gb 2011 iMac (the 1GB gfx card one), windows 7, and using 1600x900 res on ultra, if anyone's interested in wether iMacs are viable for Skyrim. Strong 9/10.

Well that's about it. To summarise, I'm liking the hell out of Skyrim!

Cheers.

You're at work? That means you are employed during this period of economic uncertainty.

Mate don't about how many threads are praising the game, the developers like it and most of all, we like it.

I am at work to, and its the first game in a long time that still has me waking up 2 hours earlier to either play or to even read about the game!

And whats more, my mate who rarely plays games for longer then a day other then football games, cant' stop playing and talking about it and even took days off work to play it, trust me when that happens, you know you got a good game on your hands : )

I'm at work too, and twitching to get done with work and training, get back home and play... First time in years have I looked forward to go home to play a video game :celebration: Regarding crashes: It's crashed twice in the same place: That sleazy general goods vendor in Whiterun. Even the game doesn't like him.

I'm also at work... svcks b***s big time.

I mean - what does my boss think he's doing chainig me to my desk? I've got dragons to slay and a house to decorate & stuff! :violin:

But I'm totally with you. The game is amazing - eventhough I've had a fer "meh - feels like oblivion" moments when I rerolled an orc barbarian/hunter type character (initially started as nord, sword&board, heavy armor - the thing I imagined the Dovahkiin to be - some badass sturdy nord bashing dragons with his shield) - but I think that happens often when you replay something (like rushing through already known quests just to get over with it).

It's been a long time since a game tied me and my thoughts to a game that much. Thanks for that Beth! :) Luv ya since the days of daggerfall (I was too young to seriously game when arena hit the shops. ;))
