Works great ? ? ?

Am I the only one on PC to have no problems yet? Regardless of system specs since so many people brag about high end gaming rigs. I had my moment of choppy-ness at launch but I chalked that up to steam being lame. Other than that I haven't had a single crash or element of doom. I did however have a moose teleport to the other side of a river...

Best of luck to those having trouble I just don't think all this ranting is gonna help.

Everything is fine for me, except the quest "Cornered Rat" is bugged. Esbern won't talk, has no speech, I've tried using the "Mod Manager" fix too. Is this a problem for you too?

Performance is fine on a fairly old rig for me (medium settings configured by the launcher), Only complaints i got is:

It doesn't let you name your saves or group them by character. (This gets quite annoying if you play multiple characters)
Keybindings are fubar. (Reserved keys, UI interaction buttons cease to work if bound to the mouse and on screen information becomes incorrect) (This is a huge problem for me as i'm a leftie and many of the keys i'd normally use are reserved and can't be used at all and shifting those functions to the mouse breaks other functionality)
The UI is a bit wonky and has some keyboard+mouse bugs (letting you sell items you don't have for infinite money for example and the default keys for accepting/aborting a trade is just wierd (really, Enter and R, where the .... did that come from ?, i get that R is from drop and it sort of makes sense, but why not let E(action) accept it then so you don't have to move your hand ?).

Overall it is extremely obvious that the PC version was never tested properly which is a shame on an otherwise great game.

well, obviously people like me having no crashes, slowdowns, etc. are not on the forums, but playing the game.

What you call ranting, most of us call pleas to get this stuff fixed. Yeah, some posts are over the top, but for the most part, we are asking for help. There are far too many people reporting the same thing.

What *isn't* helping, however, is you coming along and saying your game runs fine, so the rest of the 1500+ threads (started within 24 hours of game launch) are just rants.

EDIT: And since this is Hardware & Software ISSUES subforum, why are you even here posting that you have no problems? There's already too much stuff to sift through here, and pointless threads like this are just wasting forum space, needlessly pushing back the threads of valid complaints, and wasting the time of people like me, volunteers who are trying their best to read as many threads as possible to help others out.

I have the graphical bug "some mountain LOD flickers within a certain distance" and I can't find a solution and I hate it.

I'm not really having any issues....get a mostly constant 60 FPS (Turn Vsync off and I get 150-200 FPS) with Ultra..and not too many bugs or issues.

Bad textures aside, game runs well. Oh, I do get the distant mountain flickering some times..

It's very easy to sit there on your armchair playing Skyrim which is working 100% for you and telling others who are having problems to chill out.

I've been playing got around 5 hours, within the first 30 minutes I had a random crash, Since then I disabled my anti virus, gave the .exe priority process and I haven't had a single problem since.

Those who are still having crashes have my full sympathy, and just need to vent their frustration on the forum. This isn't a yearly COD game that comes around, its a game people have been waiting a long time to play, hence the added frustration.

The game's running fine for me, except for the occasional CTD (I had 3 in a span
of maybe 6 hours of gameplay). At first it was real laggy, but adjusting shadows
to medium in the launcher fixed that.

Sorry to you guys who are having trouble.

System Specs:
i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4770 (512 MB)
8 GB RAM

Playing on High/Ultra (albeit with medium shadows) without a hiccup.

The game is running fine for me. I am not thrilled with the dumed down UI and the graphics are good but not great and of course there is the menu bug when playing in surround/eyfinity mode. We knew this was going to be a dumed down for consoles game using old DX9 but I am not having any crashes, no lock ups, no slow frame rates and while the UI is cumbersome my mouse works fine.
I hope they improve and fix some of the bugs that are being reported and I am looking forward to the community making it a more up to date game graphically but for me it is working fine, it installed in about 12 minutes, except for having to play at 1920 X 1200 instead of 5760 X 1200, I can play for hours with no other issues.

Just had my first random "crash", some error dialog (C++ runtime ....) popped up.

The game froze, alt-tab didn't work, ctrl+alt+del got me to the task manager but i couldn't switch to the window with the error message to read it (or even the complete title), When i killed the game the error window disappeared aswell.

This was after a total of 6 hours of crash free gaming, (the session that crashed probably was around 3 hours)

The devs enjoy reading our "rants".
Just so I and other devs don't constantly have to pop in to say it, keep posting any problems you're having. Soon, if not already, there will be a (very full, I'm sure) Skyrim Bugs sub-forum. We'll be watching, we'll be fixing, always fixing... Enjoy Skyrim!
