Worried about my child

Post » Tue Feb 05, 2013 6:29 pm

Hi there,

I have a 7 year old son and I wanted to keep an eye on what he is looking at on the internet, and I'm looking for a simple keylogger. Nothing with fancy screenshots or whatever, just a keystroke logger which records to a .txt file on the computer.

No need for any tools such as screen grabbers or remote control and website blocking, as there are far too many options to simply block.

So does anyone know of a simple keystroke logger which records to a .txt file? Preferably free or cheap

Cheers :)

I don't know where to get a hold of keyloggers but that seems a little...invasive?

Why not just check his history from time to time, block sixually explicit websites and have a little trust in your son.
Have a talk with him and let him know to express his concerns with you, talking with him and letting him know whats right is surely better than spying on him.

These days computers are pretty much a necessity for schoolwork, and kids are expected to be able to use them when they start school. You don't want them getting left behind by outright banning the use of an everyday tool. Hell I used to play on my friend's computer with him when I was 5. Win95 had just come out.

That is crazy to me, kids that age shouldn't be required to use tech they should be outside playing, let them use computers and phones when they are teenagers

There has been a couple times where the school has tasked my son with homework to print something out and bring it in, so yes, computers are getting integrated earlier and earlier now
