This isn't a complaint thread.

However, I am worried about this game rewriting, adding in stupid things, or general screwery of TES lore.

I am also concerned about the first time we get to see many of the Tamrielic provinces, they will be crafted by someone other than Bethesda. That doesn't seem right.

My last concern is that I can never play MMOs because it always seem like a bunch of people doing everything they can to soup up their character to the point of ridiculousness, and if you do not do the same, you are far too weak by comparison. I like to be able to roll in iron armor if I want to.

Thoughts?

The lore is approved by Bethesda, and ZOS works with them on a weekly basis.

I don't see why you would be concerned by ZOS creating the provinces. They will still be based off of the known lore. Bethesda doesn't have the same developers as they did back when Arena was made - which also featured all of the provinces. ZOS is BGS' sister company, both of which are subsidiaries of ZeniMax Media Inc.

As for the last one: it's been stated that it will take the average player about 120 hours to reach the level cap. New players and veterans alike will be able to participate in RvR from the get-go.

That is very comforting to know Beth is working with them on the lore, thanks.

I have never really gotten into an mmo, but if I am going to get involved in any, it would be an Elder Scrolls MMO. Here's hoping.

Level cap, yes. But what about the gear cap?

Personally, I'm a fan of fairly shallow gear-progression backed up with entropy features (gear destruction or loss on 'death.') But I know that neither of those are considered all that popular among the mainstream MMO crowd, so I'm not all that confident of seeing that stuff show up. Which means one might very well be able to catch up or keep up level-wise fairly easily to veteran or hardcoe players (or be up-leveled instantly going into RvR) but still be miles behind and thus hopelessly outclassed on the gear front.
