Worst half-time show ever

By the way, what the heck is Scotland Yard doing in London?
Never mind, I don't want to know.

What's Birmingham doing in [censored] Alabama?

I haven't seen her perform since the 90s. She made a valiant showing, but those slow, deliberate steps she was taking at times point to the undeniable truth. Middle age = slowing down. She's not old by any stretch at 53, but you can't move like you did at 30 and its a bit sad to try.

Hey now, cricket is very popular across the world. . .

I rest my case.
Cricket is the second most entertaining sport, second to AFL. Which is only popular in VIctoria :(

Well yeah if I was a treasonous knave.

Heard a brilliant thing about American sport from Clarkson the other day. You've got this amazing ability to turn dull sports into things that are half interesting such as NASCAR, which is people driving around in circles for hours on end, which is made better with explosions and stuff.
I saw that episode of Top Gear as well. It's true though the americans do know how to dress things up and make them more exciting....... cheerleaders, who doesn't want to see them at the Snooker world championship dancing everytime someone pots a ball

Cricket imo is boring. How can a game last for 5 days and still not produce a winner? I hate that a game can end in a draw because of the weather

People watch the half-time show? I thought it was just to give the ladies something to listen to while they clear away the empty beer cans and re-fill the snack trays while the men smoke cigars and fart in the garage.

Seriously, though, in my experience the're pretty much all the same.

I ended up sleeping through most of the Superbowl. Someone take away my patriotism card... Or should I say giantscard?

Edit: My friend's mom hooked me up with like five pounds of chicken wings, though, so it ended up being a good night.

I don't know where "foot"ball comes from either since it's a sport mostly played with your hands.
Soccer is real football and 'foot'ball is rugby with protection.

The game probably got its name from the fact that it was played on foot, rather than with the foot, since it was a commoners game, and nobles always took their sport on horses. Also, if we want to talk about which form of the game is purest, it is probably rugby, since carrying the ball was a part of the game before Association rules were set up and excluded it.

He's talking about the Super-Bowl you........non-Americans..
I didn't know the superbowl was yesterday until 1 pm on Saturday when a co-worker mentioned it. If it wasn't for that, I may have gotten away completely oblivious to its existence. http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?db=comics&id=2512#comic

Superbowl? What's that? Like some sort of gigantic cerial eating contest?

This made me giggle since such a thing constituting a national event wouldn't be too unbelievable for Americans.

I gave this a watch last night, well part of it, and just tunred it off. All the talking and stopping and starting was pretty annoying.
Why is there 5 captains exactly, found that rather odd and seemingly stupid.

Horseback Golf?

I suppose croquet is a bit like that. But actual golf on horseback would be nice to see...

I loved it! It made me crack up so bad just because it's so over the top! I'm not such a big madonna fan, I like her music but that's about it but I really liked this show. I think it's great that even though she's old and nasty she's still having so much fun!

Whats wrong with it being commercialized. Is this a hipster thing?

Prince played a all along the watchtower and Best of You
They had the Stones and Paul McCartney playing some of their hits one year.

Most of the pop acts are old enough to sound different to whats on the radio too.
