Being able to turn into a werewolf is awesome in this game but is it equally awesome to become a vampire?

are there any new visual or gameplay incentives to being a vampire (like unique kill animations, and truly unique abilities)?

or is being a vampire just like it was in Oblivion. In other words, a pointless pain in the ass.
