Would you like to see a monk class, unarmed skill?

Simple question, would you like to see a monk class and/or an associated skill line for unarmed combat?

I think the fewer classes, the better, and most of the current classes are very broad in terms of roles and skills, having a separate class for unarmed skills seems a bit pointless to me. Although an unarmed skill line like In oblivion would be good.

I don't want to see a monk class. Seriously ? no.

BUT, i'm 100% open to an unarmed martial combat skill line yeah, as long as it doesn't provide an advantage over those using weapons. How could that be possible ? Let me give you an exemple. Let's say that as an unarmed martial artist, you reach level 50. Since you're not fighting with any weapons, your ''fists'' becomes level 50 automaticly. That would be unfair for the ones using weapons reaching level 50 because they've to look for and get some level 50 weapons.

So, as long a you must get new weapons like some ''gloves reinforcement'' or some special ''brass knuckles'' that's ok with me.

Honestly couldn't care less about a monk class. Personally, I think we have enough classes since (as AH93 has already said) the classes we have are open enough to be pretty much anything we want. If others want this, though, who am I to say "No?" That being said, an unarmed combat skill line? Hells yes. Not just punching, but kicking as well. Let each race have their own martial art style (I suspect the Nord's style would be called "Bonebreaking and Manhandling" and be anything but sublte or graceful).

Templar already works as a monk class. I don't see what a new class would add there that we don't already have and I'm in favor of as few classes as possible. Skill lines should, mostly, be open to everyone.

An unarmored skill line would be great though. They could add in knuckle dusters and other punch enhancing weapons. I also think that martial arts would be much easier to do in this game than in the other titles, because of the hot bar skills. You could add twirling kicks, high kicks, ect in as slot skills.

As others have said, monk no.

Unarmed yes.

There are other types of people that fight unarmed other than monks.

I would love a special DLC that would introduce monk class, and new race very similar to panda bears living on secluded island. Maybe with little touch of chineese culture to keep things original

Tho the monks were never properly introduced into any ES game. But hey, if ESO is as successful as we all hope (well maybe except few haters), ZOS will keep adding content for years, we will surely see them at some point

Nobody wants stupid chinese monks into game. Look what it did to wow. From 10mil subs to 7mil and droping because they step out of lore and ignored it. I want elder scrolls, and if there is some small article about chinese monk in Elder scrolls wiki I dont care.

*sigh*

The fact that Rageborn mentioned monks is not enough to have determined if he was serious or not, I agree. But come on, people. What excuse do you have for not catching on the moment he mentioned "pandas," "secluded island," and "a touch of Chinese culture?"

Absolutely not!!! It was just a chuckle when I seen the word "monk" and couldnt resist trolling a little

Lore is a nice thing, but I am talking about shallow implementation into games. Monks always got shafted and playing one was more sort of a personal challenge then regular playtrough

How are Templars not sufficient to make a monk though?

anyone who thinks these monks as chinese monks or thinks that they are even little similar to them in any other way than being unarmored and using fists is deluded by mainstream media.

When I say monk, I mean an unarmed martial artist, not simply an agent of the gods.

Monks in TES lore are nothing but followers of the divines who know how to fight. Jaufree from Oblivion was a monk. Templars in ESO are followers of the divines (or other gods I guess, if from Morrowind/Black Marsh) who uses sun/light magic. That already enables you to make a monk.

Then you mean something that doesn't apply to this universe of fiction.

An unarmored skill sounds cool, but it shouldn't be class based.
