If - now that's an IF and a very big one at that (comma goes here my comma key is broken) the map pack is going to cost $10 i think it is and I'm pretty sure that it'll be around ￡9 unless Crytek really cares about exchange rate - lol - then a question comes to my mind...

Buy Crysis 2 map pack... Or buy World of Warcraft....
Mind you I just finished the 10 day trial after 2 days (reached level cap >.>) and I am contemplating which one to get as WoW is just wow massive and immersible game and it keeps me playing (up until i got mad at level cap). Crysis 2 lost the immersion factor after about 2 days of play-time. The unlocks were nothing unique - nothing to experiment with - and frankly quite dull. Crysis 2 (IMO) lacks the "i don't know if this next unlock will own or svck" factor as you mostly know that Nano Recharge + Cloak Enhance + Retriever blows up the world and nothing compares to that combo.

I know that I might like the RPG element a bit too much but IMHO i liked the COD4's system - cammos for headshots and progressive unlocks for the gun and not the silly ass token system which needs to die.
That's one of the reasons I liked MW2 (PS3) because for all the flaws it had it kept me wanting to grind those headshots and work towards something "better" well better looking.

I am probably going to buy WoW as it is an absolute bargain for the masterpiece it is - and yes monthly payment ffs i know!!!

Crytek has to realise something... WoW - or for that matter any other successful game didn't get there by copy-pasting and adding some "new" features. Exception being CoD4 and MW2 - MW2 was so popular - and still is - comparing to BO because it improved on the CoD4 in most areas but unfortunately messed up in others. This feels like a pathetic stab at Black Ops which in my opinion isn't even worth it - the "currency" system or the token system in Crysis is straight up bollocks. Everyone likes to do a bit of grinding here or there - this is what makes the experience feel "rewarding" and it keeps you playing more and more so you can show off how much of a headshot whore you really are.

Anyhow... This thread went off the rails through an African Jungle and back out the other side...

Main point is: Crysis 2 map pack is NOT worth buying over - well - pretty much anything out there for ￡10.

I still hope Crysis 3 will blow me.

PS. I realize im comparing RPG to FPS but you having to think about the fact that you should sometimes apply some of the best attributes of the biggest moneymaking machine on the market to your game to make it a bit more successful.

I'd much rather play City of Heroes than WoW, but Crysis 2 is the first multiplayer FPS I really enjoyed

lol for $9.99 you can get Team Fortress 2, which is actually truely really awesome. And there you have it, a very developed and fun/competitive shooter Vs. 4 maps in a game where people hack your anus.

Ive played wow since closed beta let me tell u the grind does get boring lol.

Just wait for Diablo 3 you might as well save $10 for the $100 price tag for it.

its been a few months here got the expac then quit again once i hit 55 i think it was lol considering on giving it another go maybe its picked up since then.
