I was never asked if I wanted to update. Is that because I'm launching from the 4Gb launcher? Did it automatically install the patch without asking when I reinstalled the game?

No penguin, steam will always install the latest version of the game on there servers, there is no choice of which version to download. If by chance you are talking about after installing the game from a disc, steam always keeps the game up to date when launching, so as soon as you clicked play steam would have checked for and applied the 1.3 update to the game before launching.

Well that stinks. I don't understand why we can't pick and choose which version we want because there's no way I would have updated if given an option.

I've just deleted the exe files, the ini and preferences files and the 4Gb launcher and am now verifying my files. Again.

Steam wont Download the update and I have it set to auto... it just gives me this ****n loop. i just want to play this thing why do they have to complicate things...

Ok, where did my exe go? I thought it was supposed to generate another one. I have the launcher, but no tesv.
