Wujeeta in Riften is she real?

Post » Sun May 20, 2012 9:25 am

I suspect Wujeeta in Riften died in my game without my knowledge. There was a dragon attack that occurred in one of my first visits that went after, what I now know is the fishery, but it started at the front gate. Now on a subsequent visit I find the fishery and it is always closed and locked (picking the lock does nothing it is empty), Wujeeta is nowhere to be found, there is another nice snake lady, Deep Under the Water or something like that, that send me on a lexicon quest, afterwards nothing from her. I can’t find Wujeeta to start the buy Honeyside proceedings. Is there nothing to be done if Wujeeta died off-camera so to speak? And I have done so may tasks for the people of Riften there should be a statue of my dude there, so I’ve done that perquisite. There as to be another way to start this quest or Wujeeta should be immortal till her part is done.

In my game that Argonian girl is never in the fishery. I found her entering Riften by the main gate in the evening. After that she has been in the bunkhouse at night ever since.

Check the bunkhouse late at night for her, if she aint there she's probably dead.

I found her in the bunkhouse at night and by the docks during the day. She's around probably, just being sneaky. Snakey? I don't know- Argonians are Lizardmen to me...

Yeah, forgot to mention she's not in the bunkhouse at night or anywhere in Riften. Guess no house in Riften if she was killed before I even found the fishery and she's the only way to buy the house. Not cool. Maybe they'll patch an alternate purchase path. Thanks for the suggestions.

That's odd.. she's one of the first people I bumped into in Riften. After I gave her a cure disease potion she basically stuck around in the bunkhouse

The dragon attack was early in the game for me I think I'd only spoken to a few folks in the bar and was either going to or coming back to give the owner of the bar what he needed for his ring. The dragon attack right outside the front gate by the stables, set one of the horses on fire and then went and attacked the fishery. I was on the shore watching and shooting at him with one of the guards. He must of killed Wujeeta then. I've never seen her.

Like others have said.... wait in the bunkhouse... at night... in 2-3 hour intervals, waiting about 20 seconds between each waiting period.

I'd been to the bunkhouse at night but hadn't tried the waiting. Did it two different nights, nothing. I did find out the lady in the Hall of the Dead in Riften gives you a bunch of cool spellbooks when you do her errand. Still want the Riften house though. Why would they make it a one way street to start this and had the street able to be blown up before you even know it's there? Still an amazing game but....waaaaaaaaa

Hopefully they make some sort of work around, she died in my game (xbox 360) as well while a frost dragon was doing strafing runs on the fishery.

Wow, only one other person has run into this? So the odds of it getting fixed soon aren't so good.

Unfortunately that is how it works some NPCs will get killed when dragons attack. Even if they are part of a quest if they are not flagged essential your only course is to revert a save to prior to their death. Some NPCs will have another to pick up the slack but not all NPCs have a back up for their quest.

This one should be flagged essential since she is the only way to get one of the 5 houses in the game and the only way to be thane of the city, not to mention that gets you the house karl of the city who is a marrage option. All that lost because an NPC dies before you even go to where she is?
I understand, as well, if you come across the cave part of the Skooma quest takes place and clear it out, you have to go back over 3 months game time to get the 7 kills for the quest to finish.
Again how is this NPC not essential at least till she gets her quest started?

I'm suprised no one has mentioned that one of the random world events is a dragon attack when entering a town or city (per official strategy guide). Fast-travelling to a town seems to trigger this more often than walking into a town. When this happens, check around for dead named NPCs. Check extremely well. You don't want to find out later that someone died and you missed it. If a named NPC died, reload and try again. You usually have a few seconds after fast-travelling before a dragon attacks. You could save immediately after the load screen. Problem is, if a dragon attack is already triggered but you haven't yet entered combat and you save (becuase you can't save while in combat), the dragon attack will commence every time you load that save.

I had her die (I guess, couldn't find her, looked forever) only other way I know to get that house is to join the Imperial legion, take over the rift, wait for the new Jarl to take over, and you automatically are able to buy the house

Thanks for the info. Do you know if you get the house karl as well, I'm still single in the game and keeping my options open. :)
